01

Saturday

Morning: the growers’ market downtown in season, or Quest and a trail at Latta Nature Preserve. Afternoon: the Carolina Raptor Center. Evening: dinner at Birkdale Village.

02

Sunday

Brunch at Red Rocks Cafe, then Rural Hill (call ahead for tour times) or a picnic at Blythe Landing.

03

Check what’s on

Confirmed town and nature events are listed on the events page, with expired dates removed automatically.

04

Making the most of two days

Group stops by area—Sample Road for Quest and the Raptor Center, NC 73 for Birkdale and Blythe Landing, downtown for markets and town events—so most of your time is spent there rather than driving between them. Save your choices in the planner to reorder and share them.

05

Adjust for the season

Summer: start outdoors early and save Birkdale for the evening. Autumn: check Rural Hill’s corn maze season and the Town’s fall events. Winter: lean on Quest, the Raptor Trail on mild days and the downtown holiday evenings. Spring: look for the Loch Norman Highland Games at Rural Hill.

06

If it rains

Switch to Quest’s indoor exhibits, a long lunch at Birkdale and dessert. The rainy-day itinerary lays it out.
